Birthday Parties for Grown-Ups Who Are Done With Boring
A private figure-drawing party brought to your place in DC, Northern Virginia or Maryland — nude figure model, artist instructor, every supply included.
You have done the dinner reservation. You have done the rooftop. For a 30th, 40th, 50th or a plain old Tuesday birthday, this is the private birthday activity that gets talked about for years — slightly scandalous, entirely classy, all yours.

What Does a Birthday Session Feel Like?
Relaxed, funny and genuinely creative. An instructor runs the room from the first warm-up sketch to the final reveal, so nobody is left standing awkwardly holding a drink. A professional nude model holds a series of poses, the group draws, the drawings get compared, and the birthday person gets to hold court without having to organize anything.

Why It Works for Milestone Birthdays
It's an activity, not a seating chart
Guests who don't know each other are drawing together within ten minutes.
Zero skill required
Everyone is equally bad at it, which is the great social equalizer.
It's private
Your home, your Airbnb, your rented room. No noise, no crowd, no bar tab surprises.
Better than another dinner
Nobody remembers the fourth birthday dinner. Everyone remembers this.
Not tied to a birthday at all? The same format works beautifully as a girls’ night figure drawing party, and there is a broader overview on our private figure drawing parties page.
Where Can We Host It?
We come to you across Washington DC, Northern Virginia and Maryland, with travel to Fredericksburg, VA and Richmond, VA available. All you need is a private room with space for chairs and a model pose area.
Questions
Birthday Party FAQ
Is this a good 40th or 50th birthday idea?
- It is one of our most requested milestone birthday bookings. Guests at a 30th, 40th or 50th usually know each other loosely at best, and a guided drawing session gives everyone something to do and laugh about within the first ten minutes — much easier than another dinner reservation.
Can we do this for a co-ed birthday party?
- Yes. The session is structured art instruction, so it works for any adult guest list. Tell us the mix of your group on the booking form and we'll set the tone and the games to match.
What if the birthday guest of honor hates being the center of attention?
- Then we skip the spotlight. The guest-of-honor activity is optional and scaled to their comfort — some groups want a full roast-style moment, others want the birthday person to just draw in peace with a drink.
Can we combine it with dinner or drinks?
- Often. A 90-minute session before a dinner reservation is a common structure, and plenty of groups do drinks and snacks during the party itself. We do not supply alcohol, and venue rules are yours to confirm.
How much does a birthday figure drawing party cost?
- Bare Essentials is $85 per person for about 90 minutes and Celebration is $105 per person for a full two hours. Most private parties run $85–$105 per person — final pricing depends on group size, location and options.
