Models & Instructors: Introduce Yourself
Bare Canvas Creations runs private, instructor-led figure drawing sessions for adult groups across the DC, Northern Virginia and Maryland area. We work with professional figure models and artist instructors on a per-event basis. If that sounds like your kind of work, we would like to hear from you.
How the work runs
Events are booked in advance, typically 90 minutes to two hours, at a private residence, hotel suite, clubroom or event space arranged by the client. Every session is guided by an instructor, every format is agreed in writing beforehand, and our conduct policy is enforced: guests do not touch, do not photograph the model, and do not request anything outside the agreed format. Rates are discussed directly and paid per event.

Where you are
Your home base and how far you are realistically willing to travel — DC, Arlington, Alexandria, Montgomery County, Prince George's County, Richmond, or somewhere in between.
Your experience
For models: any life-drawing, art-school or studio posing experience, and how long you can comfortably hold short and long poses. For instructors: your teaching or facilitation background and the mediums you are comfortable guiding beginners through.
Availability
Most events are Friday and Saturday evenings, with some weekday and Sunday afternoon bookings. Tell us which windows generally work and how much notice you need.
Comfort level and format
We book a range of formats — clothed, draped, costumed and traditional figure study. Be specific about what you are and are not available for. Nothing is assumed, and there is no pressure to expand your boundaries later.
Professionalism
These are private events with paying groups. We look for people who arrive on time, communicate clearly, hold a calm and friendly room, and treat the booking like the professional engagement it is.
